Discover Dayton
Discover Dayton is hosted and produced by Arch Grieve. Arch is a Daytonian who lives in the Walnut Hills neighborhood with his wife, Amanda, and dog, Truffles.
Arch is a Lecturer at Sinclair Community College, where he teaches political science. He is also a former Mediation Specialist at the Dayton Mediation Center, a part of the City of Dayton municipal government. He is a Certified Transformative Mediator through the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation.
Arch is also the former Chair of the Dayton Sister City Committee, former Vice President of the Dayton Council on World Affairs, and former Vice President of the Xenia School Board. Currently he serves as the chair of the Sarajevo subcommittee for the Dayton Sister City Committee.
Before working at the Mediation Center, Arch taught at the Dayton Regional STEM School (DRSS), teaching social studies. From 2015-17 he served as the Community Outreach Director for the school.
Arch earned his M.A. from Wright State University in International and Comparative Politics in 2015, where he studied the impact of nonviolent resistance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Before that he attended the University of Dayton after earning his undergraduate degree at Wright State. He is licensed to teach AYA Social Studies in grades 7-12.
